3 Reasons to watch the powerful Netflix Documentary 13th

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans.
I watch this documentary and I am so glad I did. It was shocking, saddening and educational. It presents us with much to contemplate - to challenge our own misconceptions and reflect on a past that is still far too omnipresent in our lives today. I'm off to do some follow up reading now.
